Vice Admiral K K Nayyar (retd.) |

Vice Admiral K K Nayyar (retd.), is one of the longest serving
members on the Board of Directors of the Company. He was inducted
on the Board of the Company in the year 1989 as a specialist
in the field of Finance, Planning and Human Resource Development.
Vice Admiral K K Nayyar (retd.) is a graduate from the National
Defence College. He also attended specialised courses at the
Royal Naval Collage, Dartmouth, Royal Naval Collage, Greenwhich
and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
He Joined the Indian Navy in the year 1948 and retired as
Vice Chief of Naval Staff in the year 1986. During his service,
he held the position of Flag Officer Commanding, Goa and was
responsible for all aviation assets including their operation,
maintenance and training of personnel. As the Commander in
Chief, South, he was responsible for naval operations including
training and HRD. During his tenure as Vice Chief of the Naval
Staff, he was responsible for organisation, planning, and
finance functions of the Navy.

Ram S Tarneja
Dr Ram S Tarneja, a specialist
in the area of Professional Management, was inducted on the
Board of the Company in the year 1991. Dr Tarneja is a Ph. D
from the Cornell University, USA. He was also a Director, Graduate
Department of Business Administration, Duquesne University,
Pittsbururgh, USA. He worked for
the Sahujain Group of Companies for about 10 years before
joining the Bennett Coleman & Company Limited in 1970.
He retired as the Managing Director of Bennett Coleman and
Company Limited in the year 1991.
Dr Tarneja is an active leader in the professional
management movement of Asia. He has lot of pioneering work
to his credit in Management education and professional Management.
He has been a senior consultant with United Nations Development
Program and the European Union.
Dr Tarneja is the Chairman of Jolly
Boards Limited and Nissin ABC Logistics Pvt Limited and the
Vice Chairman of Arim Metal Industries Pvt Limited. He is
also a Director of Bharat Gears Limited, Bennett Coleman &
Company Limited, GATI Limited, Housing Development Finance
Corporation Limited, ITC Limited, Nesco Limited, Otis Elevator
Company (I) Limited, Phillips Carbon Black Limited, Rallis
India Limited, Transcorp International Limited, Givo Limited,
